Are there age requirements for Canopy Tour riders?

The minimum age for Canopy Tour participants is 5 years old.
The oldest Canopy Tour participant has been 96.

What about rental equipment?
Currently, Carolina Adventure World operates on a B.Y.O.E. (Bring Your Own
Equipment) basis.
As rentals become available, prices will be posted on the web-site.
Renters must be 18 years or older with a valid drivers license and credit card (American Express, MasterCard, Visa)

Why must I sign a waiver?
You are responsible for your own experience at CAW.  Riding trails, motocross courses, cart paths, and Canopy Tour can be dangerous and requires certain skills and competence to avoid serious injury.

Are there age restrictions for riding and operating equipment?
Yes – age restrictions are mandated by State and Federal Laws.  CAW has no choice but to abide by the law. It’s always safety first at CAW.
|
What about park rangers?
CAW park rangers are sheriff deputies.

What about alcohol?
The Welcome Center Grill will serve beer and wine after the motocross and trail systems close for the day. State law prohibits bringing alcohol to the park

Can we ride at night?
No night riding other than schedule guided night tours.

Why no aggressive tire patterns?
See park rules for tire restrictions. The CAW trail system is unique in soil types, topography and design; and aggressive tire patterns do much damage and are not necessary to enjoy a good ride.

What’s different about CAW and other parks we’ve visited?
CAW is the first family friendly resort OHV Park of this size and scope in the U.S.  It offers miles of groomed trails for every interest and skill level; three Dirt Wurx motocross tracks and one EnduroX track; the only Original Canopy Tour in the Continental U.S.; good food and live evening entertainment all in a beautiful setting. Overnight accommodations will be available later in 2007.

Is CAW still in construction?
Yes – building began in March 2004. We have one of the best private trail systems in the country; three Dirt Wurx motocross tracks and one EnduroX track; miles of golf cart paths, Canopy Tour, service and equipment storage facilities.
We are nearing completion on amenities and overnight accommodations that earn us the “resort” designation. The next major milestone is the September WPSA Grand National Championships, and we expect to have the restaurant and overnight accommodations available.

Are jeeps and 3 wheelers allowed?
No

Are Dune Buggies allowed on the trails?
Yes if they are no wider than 55 inches

How much are the cabins, yurts, campsites; and how can I make reservations?
Each unit will be priced as it is completed and placed in inventory.
Once these are available, you can make reservations by calling 803 482-3534 or via the website.
  See overnight accommodations.

Why can’t my three year old ride my 400CC ATV?
It’s common sense and it’s the law.
